Luz works with adults across the lifespan, including those navigating midlife and beyond, approaching retirement, or beginning a new chapter after retirement. She also works with first responders and others whose work or life experiences have required them to stay strong for a long time. Luz is EMDR-trained and incorporates trauma-informed, CBT, and solution-focused approaches based on each client's individual needs.
Luz believes therapy should be a collaborative process rather than a one-size-fits-all experience. She takes time to understand each client's story, strengths, challenges, and goals and works alongside them to create meaningful and sustainable change.
Her clinical approach incorporates EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy within a trauma-informed framework.
Luz's style is calm, grounded, and compassionate. She believes therapy can be a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore what you want your life to look like moving forward.
Luz supports adults navigating the transitions that can come with midlife and beyond—from changing family roles and relationships to questions of identity, priorities, and what comes next.
Retirement can bring freedom and possibility, but it can also bring unexpected questions about identity, purpose, relationships, and how to spend this next chapter. Luz offers a space to explore what comes next and create a life that feels meaningful beyond a career.
With several years of experience providing mobile crisis response and working alongside law enforcement and emergency services, Luz understands the unique impact of repeated exposure to crisis, responsibility, and high levels of stress.
Luz provides trauma-informed therapy for adults who have experienced difficult or overwhelming experiences and are ready to begin making sense of what they have carried.
Luz helps clients understand patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, and chronic stress while developing practical tools for feeling more grounded and moving forward.
Luz welcomes exploration of spirituality, personal beliefs, values, meaning, and purpose as part of the therapeutic process. She works comfortably with clients who identify as spiritual, agnostic, questioning, or somewhere in between.
We are passionate about helping people navigate the parts of themselves shaped by fear, pain, or doubt—and about showing that change is possible, even when it feels out of reach.
What motivates us every day is walking alongside clients as they reconnect with their strengths, access inner resources, and build lives rooted in clarity, confidence, and purpose.
You don’t need to be “ready” or have the right words.
You just need a space where you can show up as you are.
